About Me
Since my husband and I moved to the South Island and settled in Ruby Bay in April 2012, I am pleased to be able to continue my career looking after the health and welfare of animals. We moved to New Zealand in 2006, and I worked in the captive breeding programme at Pukaha Mount Bruce, caring for some of New Zealand's most endangered animals.
While living in the United States, I was a certified veterinary technician and worked for some of the top veterinary schools in the country, including the University of Davis and the University of Wisconsin. I also managed a large no-kill animal shelter in Arizona that provided specialized care to animals from impoverished areas.
And, of course, I am a lifetime pet owner. My 'boys' (pictured above) are a pair of American cocker spaniels (15 and 10 years old) that came from America with me. Like me, they are loving the lifestyle that the Tasman region has to offer.
